1. Ping-Pong Pursuit
All players stand on the pool's edge in the water, hugging the wall. One person from outside the swimming pool dumps a batch of ping-pong balls into the pool and swishes them around.
Then, the players must search the pool for the ping-pong balls with their eyes closed. The first player to find five balls (or any number of your choosing) wins!
When you're done playing, you can play many other poolside party games using the remaining ping-pong balls.
2. Water Is Lava
"The Floor is Lava" is one of the most classic outdoor games. Now, you can take it to the pool and give it a new spin.
Unlike the original version, where you try not to step on the ground (lava), you won't be trying to stay dry. Instead, you need to keep the balloon from getting into the pool.
Everyone should make a circle around the outside edges of the pool. Then, hit a balloon around the pool, ensuring it never touches the water.
You can make this even more fun by having inflatable objects in the pool. If the balloon gets stuck in the middle, jump on an inflatable to save it from touching the water!
3. It
Designate one person to be "It." That person stands at the pool's edge, with their back to it, while everyone gathers at the opposite end. Then, "It" calls out a category, like ice cream flavors. Each person should silently think of an answer.
Next, "It" will start to call out items from the category. For example, they may say, "Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry..."
When you hear your answer, you must swim to "It" and touch the wall. If "It" hears swimming, they can turn around, jump in the pool, and tag you.
But, if "It" turns around and everyone still has their hand on the poolside, they must take a step further away from the pool and start a new round.
4. Pool Party Bingo
When you need a break from the pool but still want to continue the poolside family fun, play pool party bingo! This allows everyone to relax and enjoy something to eat or drink.
You can find plenty of fun pool-themed bingo games online to print at home. After a few rounds, everyone will be ready to jump back into the pool and enjoy other games on this list!
